"Frisco" is a 15.3 quarter horse gelding.
He is perfect to ride and sound. He was at the feedlot wearing 4
shoes and we believe he was a ranch horse. He has
tons of experience working around young horses and continually saves
Christine, hahaha!
The world has GREAT horses. This
is one of the REALLY GREAT ones. A horse like this is simply priceless.
How or why he found himself facing slaughter is beyond us. But we
are ecstatic we could get him to safety!
Frisco is always there for the others who need him, man or beast. Here
he is comforting Mayor who returned from a failed adoption and who was
just distraught. It is extremely difficult for the teenaged and older
horses to settle in only to find a potential home and have to be uprooted.
It is especially hard when that home does not pan out. We NEED our
FULL sanctuary land to offer these gentle, sweet souls a final comfort.
It is NOT FAIR!!! There is land all over that could easily be used for a
purpose greater than MOST. Spread the word for the horses like
Mayor....for all the horses, please.
Frisco has had an unreal two weeks.
Losing his best friend Captain was devastating enough. He was so
lost. Finally he accepted Arapaho as a buddy and then he had to take
over the mules. Aramis passing was completely horrific on everyone
and the mules are devastated. Frisco has taken over their protective
custody while they adjust.
Frisco is a permanent resident and needs
sponsors. Several small donations will add up to this fine horse
living worry free. Please help him as he helps others.
Frisco's favorite color is orange. He
loves sugar cubes! Frisco is seeking donations of Eqyss Premier
Rehydrant Spray or Santa Fe conditioning spray. As he
becomes a late teenager, supplements now will help his joints later.
Cosequin would help him out alot! Please donate if you can and
Frisco will send you a present!
Frisco has claimed Bay as his best friend
and he lives with him, inseparable as is his nature.
Chasie loves Frisco!
And Frisco loves Chasie!
Update July 2010: Frisco turned 23
according to our dentist. He is fat and happy and just a great
horse. Photos coming!
